Relive the triumphant return of last week’s industry showcase, networking events, awards and more.

The triumphant return of Licensing Expo last week – following a three-year absence – saw thousands of execs packing through the doors of the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.

The entertainment presentations, news, star performers, brands to watch and deals came thick and fast, with something to suit pretty much everyone on the show floor.

The trade arrived having already heard the news that global sales of licensed merchandise and services have passed the $300 billion milestone, as the overall licensing industry grew by 7.75% since 2019, according to topline figures from Licensing International’s seventh annual Global Licensing Industry Study.

Other headline grabbing news included the unveiling of the winners of the 2022 Licensing International Excellence Awards – which included some familiar UK names – plus Pam Kaufman, president global consumer products and experiences at Paramount, chatting to Gary Vaynerchuk, chairman, VaynerX, ceo, VaynerMedia and creator and ceo, VeeFriends in the opening day keynote on ‘The Power of Possibilities’.

Meanwhile, attendees at the Opening Night Party were treated to a feast of hip hop greats as it celebrated the 50th anniversary of the music movement.
