Cath Kidston returns with second instalment of popular Paddington collaboration

Cath Kidston has once again partnered with Studiocanal Kids & Family, welcoming back Paddington to its hand-painted world of print for a second instalment of the popular collaboration.

Cath Kidston’s London design team has partnered the original artworks of Peggy Fortnum from the 1950’s with both archival and bespoke hand-painted elements, creating a ‘joyfully lively, celebratory’ collection.

In the hero print, we see Paddington at his party, depicted in vignettes of merriment, romantically festooned in hearts, strings of bunting and dreamlike painterly clouds from Cath’s print archive. On a feminine blush pink ground and a rich, deep navy for winter, there is an expanded collection of women’s bags and accessories, with the design team elevating the classic heritage styles alongside new, contemporary shapes for a curated collection for everyone. As well as pyjamas and fashion, there are also matching miniatures across childrenswear.

“Paddington’s focus on kindness and adventure hold so true to the core values of our brand that merging our stories together creates such a joyful collection,” commented Holly Marler, head of creative at Cath Kidston. “Our design team took such inspiration from Peggy Fortnum’s archive of work and we hand-painted our prints in honour of their character and storytelling. It’s this care and attention to detail that makes our collaborations so truly special and unique, each piece crafted for the print to offer a collection that will make the perfect heartfelt gifts this season.”

The limited edition collection is available online at next.co.uk/cath-kidston, in-store at the newly opened Westfield White City store and globally in stores in Japan, Thailand, Taiwan, Korea, Hong Kong and Vietnam.
