King Digital expands licensing programme with arrival of baking-themed products.
King Digital Entertainment is continuing to grow the Candy Crush consumer products offering – with the baking category its latest target.
New licensee Bakedin will be launching a Candy Crush Brownie Mix and Rainbow Cake Mix globally in September.
In addition, F2J has also recently unveiled a new range of Candy Crush-inspired products including cake moulds, chopping boards, weighing scales, plastic cups and glassware in the UK, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and Switzerland.
On top of this, Little Brown Book Group will be expanding its collection with a new recipe book entitled Candy Crush: Cakes & Tray Bakes. It will launch in the UK and US in September, with the recipes all inspired from the world of Candy Crush.
“We’re delighted to be able to offer an array of Candy Crush inspired baking products to long-time fans of the game,” said Claes Kalborg, licensing director at King.
“Home baking is very on trend at the moment. People love to get creative with their designs and all of these products will inspire people to come up with fun and colourful creations, bringing the game to life and to the kitchen table.”
King has signed 128 licensees to date for Candy Crush. The franchise now consists of three games, with Candy Crush Jelly Saga having launching in January.
