London office has raft of fundraising activities planned for 2017/18 including 100 mile cycle.
CAA-GBG is continuing its support of the Railway Children charity, with the London office planning a host of fundraising activity across the year and into 2018.
The initiatives began on July 20 with a 22k sponsored walk from Sandwich to the White Cliffs of Dover, with 36 members from the UK office – including Nate and Finn, the two sons of evp and group md, Angela Farrugia – taking on the challenge.
A special screening of the movie, Lion, has also taken place, while bake sales, a yoga afternoon and quizzes are among activities planned.
In addition, the day after Brand Licensing Europe ends, a ‘sun up to sundown’ 100 mile cycle is being planned from London to Broadstairs in Kent.
Angela – who last year took part in a 20,000 feet skydive with fellow execs Daniel Avener and Regine Labrosse as part of the company’s 20th anniversary fundraising activities – told The Source that the aim is to raise £30,000 for Railway Children this year.
“Last year was so momentous as it was our 20th anniversary, and we wanted to keep our European commitment to helping to raise money for Railway Children,” Angela commented.
“I saw the good work they do first hand when I travelled to Tanzania in January (pictured below). The money we raise really makes a difference and they are an amazing charity to partner with. It is great to be raising money for the second year running for them.”
Last year saw CAA-GBG raise $180,000 for Railway Children following a series of global fundraising initiatives.
