£230,000 from Bristol to Dublin and £6,800 from annual golf day added to 2018 fundraising total.
It’s certainly been a bumper start to September for The Light Fund – with £236,800 added to the fundraising pot.
Those who attended The Licensing Awards last week will have witnessed the Bristol to Dublin cyclists being presented with a cheque for £230,000 for the industry charity – having smashed their initial fundraising target.
70 riders took on the 325-mile challenge in June. Check out our highlights video below:
Meanwhile, The Light Fund annual golf day – held on September 6 at the Warwickshire Golf & Country Club – raised £6,800.
The day was this year supported by The R&A (The Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews), which backed the event with a range of prizes from its partners including Hugo Boss and a raffle prize of a pair of VIP tickets to next year’s Open at Royal Portrush.
