Revolting Rhymes, Hey Duggee, The Amazing World of Gumball among winners.
The winners of this year’s British Animation Awards have been crowned, with a number of licensed names coming away victorious.
The event, which was held on March 15 at London’s BFI Southbank and hosted by Miles Jupp, recognises all forms of animation, honouring achievements in the genre produced in the genre over the last two years.
Magic Light Pictures’ Revolting Rhymes (pictured) picked up the accolade for Best Long Form, beating competition from We’re Going on a Bear Hunt and Ethel & Ernest (both from Lupus Films).
Meanwhile, Best Preschool Series was won by Hey Duggee: The Tadpole Badge (in which Duggee makes a rock pool for the Squirrel Club).
Cartoon Network’s The Amazing World of Gumball won in two categories – Best Children’s Series (which it also won in 2016) and Best Voice Performance for Teresa Gallagher (who voices Nicole).
