Bright Agency unveils new division

Design-focused illustration division coincides with company’s 15th anniversary.

The Bright Agency is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, and is marking the milestone with the launch of a new division.

Bright Illustration has the remit of finding creative solutions for advertising, editorial, branding, packaging and character design projects.

The move means that agency now has three divisions. It initially focused on providing illustrations for children’s publishing in the UK, before broadening its scope to cover all aspects of illustration across the globe.

The Bright Art Licensing arm was established seven years ago, with the agency specialising in illustrations for the greetings, stationery, home, gift and wall art sectors.

The Bright Emporium – a gallery-come-bookshop hosting exhibitions and launches to reach consumers directly with products exclusively by Bright artists – opened in 2015.

Senior agent Hannah Curtis commented: “We are very excited about the opportunities Bright Illustration offers our artists and the new partnerships that will be made. Illustrators are expertly paired with clients to achieve an array of brand objectives.

“The three divisions now sat under the agency are very complementary: Bright artists can cross between the licensing, advertising and publishing divisions. This gives our artists a chance to develop within different areas of illustration, and find out what works best for the direction of their career.”

Bright’s md and founder, Vicki Willden-Lebrecht, added: “In the year of our 15th anniversary we are focusing on doing the best by our artists and our clients for today and tomorrow, with joined up thinking across our territories to expand on brand, licensing and royalty opportunities.

“Our clients’ trust and investment in our artists depends on the agencies continued ability to add value to their projects.”
