Company creates bespoke beer as airline gets ready to mark 100th anniversary.
BrewDog has partnered with British Airways to create a bespoke beer as part of the airline’s 100th anniversary celebrations.
Speedbird 100 – which has been named in tribute to BA’s call sign – has been created for customers to consume in-flight. The beer has been specially created so that the taste is preserved during flight conditions, reported Campaign.
BA’s in-flight entertainment service will also feature a BrewDog channel from July. Content will be updated every month and will be beer-themed including a feature on the making of Speedbird 100.
“British Airways offer a brand visibility of the highest calibre and it’s an honour and delight for us to partner with them for their centenary to offer their passengers something truly unique and memorable,” said Gordon Buchanan, international markets manager at BrewDog.
Meanwhile, British Airways will also be releasing a series of special edition products in partnership with British brands to mark its 100 years. These will include a limited edition travel-sized Marmite which customers can take in their carry-on luggage.
