Brazilian Beytuber wins Beyblade’s inaugural virtual tournament

Beyblade influencer Cyprus’s Channel brings home the trophy and the $10,000 prize.

The global Beyblade Burst brand held its first ever digital Beymaster Invitational throughout October, which saw 12 Beyblade influencers pitted against each other in a one-of-a-kind virtual competition.

Brazil’s Cyprus’s Channel was crowned the ultimate champion, securing the trophy and a $10,000 cash prize.

The competition was streamed live on master toy partner Hasbro’s Facebook page, with preliminary battles taking place on October 17, while the quarter finals, semi-finals, and final matches culminated on October 24.

Fans can relive the championship by watching Part 1 and Part 2 on the Beyblade Burst official YouTube channel.

“The Beyblade Burst Beymaster Invitational was an overwhelming success and is an example of the agility of our business and our commitment to delivering fans authentic opportunities to have fun and engage with Beyblade during these truly unprecedented times,” said Shawn Wada, president and ceo of ADK Emotions NY.

Originating in Japan in 1999, the Beyblade brand is currently in its third generation, with five animated seasons to date.

Fans are able to download the Beyblade Burst app and join the more than one billion online battles that have taken place around the world, while testing out different top combinations in head to head battle or in multi-player tournament mode.

Hasbro and ADK Emotions anticipate more fan engagement with the app in the year to come. 2021 will be another eventful year for the brand with new top innovations, a new animation season, more content and 20th anniversary plans on the way.
