Brands with Influence signs Streetcat Bob brand

Agency to develop a new digital platform and a merchandise programme for property.

Brands with Influence has been appointed to develop the commercial opportunities around the Streetcat Bob property.

The move follows on from some six million book sales and the recent movie adaptation of A Street Cat Named Bob.

It tells the story of how a stray ginger cat changes the life of James Bowen, a homeless London street musician and recovering drug addict.

BWI has now been tasked with building the Streetcat Bob brand across the world. It will be developing a new digital platform and a merchandise programme around the popular feline.

Martin Lowde, md of BWI, explained: “Like millions of other fans, we were deeply moved and motivated by this incredible and true, modern day fairytale.

“Streetcat Bob is a fantastic character, who has been personally attending our meetings.

“With a global fan base across the world we are going to be building ongoing customer interaction through new editorial content, while meeting a latent demand for Streetcat Bob merchandise through a new licensing programme.”
