Brands with Influence adds Match of the Day

First products expected to hit the market in time for new 2016/2017 football season.

Brands with Influence has been appointed the licensing agent for Match of the Day.

One of the UK’s most iconic and most loved TV shows, Match of the Day has over 50 years of heritage and is now looking to expand within the licensing arena.

BWI is already underway with the first licensee negotiations, with first products expected to hit shelves in the autumn, in time for the new 2016/2017 season.

Dom Wheeler, director at Brands with Influence, said: “Match of the Day is a unique property that brings together audiences across all ages and we are really excited about the opportunity to develop this key sports brand.

“There are few non-team specific sports brands that can boast the loyal audience that watches Match of the Day.”
