Brands with Influence picks up global licensing rights for Stan & Gran

Brands with Influence has secured the worldwide merchandise and licensing rights for new series, Stan & Gran.

The animation is being co-produced by Jellyfish Originals, Jollywise Media and Xentrix Studios and is due to premiere on Channel 5’s preschool strand, Milkshake in 2025.

Following a competitive pitch process, BWI has been selected to lead the global licensing roll-out based on their strategic approach to position the brand uniquely in the market and its strong creative values.

The show follows the ‘mystery busting’ adventures of Stan Breakwater and his dynamic Gran in the fictional British coastal village of Porthole.

Stan & Gran promotes exploration, discovery and science, as Stan’s insatiable curiosity for wildlife drives wonderful storytelling and stimulates children’s powers of deduction and imagination.

“We loved Stan & Gran from the moment we first saw the trailer,” commented Martin Lowe, ceo at Brands with Influence. “It is a brilliant combination of creative problem solving and discovering nature. The series will allow us to work with a range of licensees from toys to creative play, as well as licensing educational products that complement the storylines and play patterns. While it is early days in the production, we plan to launch the licensing opportunities at BLE this autumn in the UK.”

Series creator, Jon Mason, continued: “I love Martin and Dom’s energy and honesty. They both have a long history of working in the children’s space and have worked on many brands that have synergies with what our show is all about, it’s a perfect partnership.”

Natalie Llewellyn, md at Jellyfish Originals, added: “We are delighted to be working with Brands With Influence to expand the global reach and commercial potential of Stan & Gran. We look forward to harnessing their expertise and energy to drive international success and brand awareness and to securing best-in-class licensees and retail partners to deliver on our vision for the property.”
