Brandgenuity kicks off The Sims licensing programme

Brandgenuity has secured three apparel and accessories licensees for The Sims, expanding the life simulation gaming franchise with its first lifestyle licensees.

Ripple Junction, The Forecast Agency and Difuzed are all on board to interpret The Sims in the fashion category across the US, Europe and the Middle East.

The Sims has been a timeless yet progressive cultural icon for nearly 25 years. It is the originator of the life simulator genre and remains one of the bestselling video games of all time with more than 500 million players worldwide to date.

The Sims will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2025, with launches and programmes surrounding the tentpole in-store.

The first line of apparel is expected to launch in autumn/winter 2024.

“We’re delighted to welcome our first lifestyle licensees,” commented Lyndsay Pearson, vp of creative for The Sims at Electronic Arts. “We selected our partners, Difuzed, The Forecast Agency and Ripple Junction, because they demonstrated the right design, trend and retail expertise, as well as a passion for the brand. We are excited to partner with them to deliver new products to Simmers that will celebrate, connect and delight them in genuine, creative ways.”
