Apparel specialist, Brand Alliance is to develop a number of fashion forward ranges for the Paul Frank property.
The company will be creating daywear, nightwear, bags and accessories featuring recognisable characters such as Julius and Skurvy.
The agreement was secured by Brand Alliance’s joint ceo, Simon Hills with Michael Puglisi, global licensing brand manager at Futurity Brands following their meeting at Licensing Expo in June.
“We are so pleased to partner with Brand Alliance; their creative skills are outstanding,” commented Michael. “There is such a great opportunity to deliver cross-category campaigns at retail with the Paul Frank brand and they have created fantastic designs, which I am excited see come to market.”
Leanne Dodd, accessories designer at Brand Alliance, continued: “As a nostalgic brand for many, it’s been a great pleasure to design a collection that pays homage to where the brand has been, as well as redefining the iconic image of Paul Frank in a modern and playful move on.
“This is a licence I’m not only excited to work with but to see back on the streets especially with the rise of the Y2K trends; the timing is perfect.”
