Publisher launches two books celebrating the Disney character’s 90th anniversary.
Bonnier Publishing has today (November 1) launched two books celebrating the 90th anniversary of Mickey Mouse.
The Mickey Mouse Museum delves into the archives of the character over the past 90 years, looking at how Mickey has adapted with technology and popular culture, appearing across a wide range of media and forms.
Mickey’s development is showcased through the art styles of the last 90 years, from his very first appearance in Steamboat Willie in 1928 to the present day. The curated collection includes rarely-seen artwork from the Disney archives, from concept sketches to final drawings.
Meanwhile, Where’s Mickey is a search and find activity book, with fans being tasked with finding Mickey as he travels across the globe with a host of friends through the last 90 years.
In each location, readers need to look for Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto, while further characters and objects to search for are listed at the back of the book.
In addition, special anniversary editions of the book contain a hidden golden Mickey, with just 90 copies being distributed across the UK.
