Boj ‘Giggly Park’ opens its doors

Interactive and multi-sensory playground is set within West Midland Safari Park.

A new Boj visitor attraction has opened within West Midland Safari Park.

Boj Giggly Park is an interactive and multi-sensory playground, exclusively themed with sights and sounds from the CBeebies and S4C preschool series.

Giggly Park was officially opened by the show’s creator Claire Underwood and co-creators Dave Ingham and David Hodgson (pictured above), with a group of youngsters then granted special access to the £850,000 visitor attraction.

There are five areas, each themed around the five child characters in the show. Pops and Mimi’s Bandstand is at the heart of the play area, while youngsters can also tunnel underground just like Boj himself.

Head of marketing at West Midland Safari Park, Daniel Griffiths, said: “It was great to see so many happy, smiling faces as they explored and played in such a bright and vibrant environment.

“When I was introduced to the Boj creators I knew then that by working together we could produce something amazing for our younger visitors. To see the finished result of the process two years on is fantastic.”

David Hodgson, director at brand owner Pesky Productions, added: “We are delighted Boj has found a permanent home with our friends at West Midland Safari Park.

“It’s such a thrill to know hundreds of thousands of kids can now play with Boj and his buddies all year round.

“It’s the start of an exciting new phase that should see Boj’s popularity continue to grow and hopefully open up further licensing opportunities to sit alongside our lovely SEGA plush products now on sale in Boj Giggly Park.”
