Bladez Toyz teams with Blue Zoo Animation on Mojo Swoptops

Bladez Toyz has secured a new worldwide partnership with Blue Zoo Animation for its new preschool show, Mojo Swoptops.

The company will create a preschool toy range based on the show for launch in AW25, which made its debut on CBeebies last October.

“We are extremely excited to be working with Karen [McNally] and the team at Blue Zoo Licensing to bring this property to market,” commented Iain Morgan, ceo at Bladez Toyz. “Mojo Swoptops felt like a great fit for us as a business with the focus around vehicles and innovation, and the team instantly loved the programming with its mix of life lessons and some cheesy laugh out loud humour.”

The partnership with Blue Zoo marks a significant milestone for Bladez Toyz. The UK-based company has built a strong reputation for creating products that not only entertain but also promote S.T.E.M. development.

Having experienced considerable growth across the UK and Europe over the last couple of years – and further to the announcement about its new distribution partner in North America – the partnership marks an important step back into the preschool market where Bladez has operated so successfully before with properties such as Peppa Pig and Teletubbies.

Iain continued: “Working with the team at Blue Zoo has felt right since the first meeting, as we share the same entrepreneurial spirit and the desire to create something new and exciting. They have a wealth of experience within the toy industry, and we felt that with their experience, particularly in preschool licences, along with our skills and expertise, we could create a strong partnership.”

Karen McNally, licensing director at Blue Zoo Licensing, added: “Blue Zoo Licensing is thrilled to partner with Bladez Toyz on the exciting Mojo Swoptops. The team’s immediate enthusiasm and understanding of the huge potential for the brand as well as their creative flair and global reach make them the perfect fit for this growing brand. With international broadcasters already on board, we can’t wait to see the innovative products launching later this year and bring Mojo Swoptops to life for its expanding fanbase.”

Bladez will focus on creative, innovative and interactive toys which help develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and problem solving.

The Mojo Swoptops range will include radio control vehicles and motorised track play-sets, alongside arts and crafts and a pocket money vehicle range which will continue the ongoing initiative of Bladez Toyz to develop more sustainable toys.

Iain added: “Sustainability has been a focus of the business for the last few years, whether that is making sure that as much of our packaging is reusable as possible or that the plastic parts can all be recycled. Blue Zoo is also committed to their own sustainability goals and together we will work to achieve these through the use of alternative plastics and reusable elements in all the products.”

First looks at the range will be available at London Toy Fair (21-23 January at London’s Olympia) and Spielwarenmesse (28 January to 1 February in Nuremberg).
