Bladez spins in with Mattel branded fidget spinners

Hot Wheels and Barbie spinners launch in Toys R Us with special gift with purchase promotion.

Bladez Toyz has designed a range of Hot Wheels and Barbie fidget spinners in partnership with Mattel – with the company saying it is first to market globally with licensed character versions of the playground craze.

With a choice of different brightly coloured ABEC 7 bearings, there are three car themed designs for the Hot Wheels enthusiasts and three hot pink spinners for Barbie lovers.

Showing at retail in counter display units per brand, each CDU contains 36 spinners incorporating a try-me feature on packaging to highlight the impressive spin function.

In an exclusive partnership between Mattel and Toys R Us across four European countries, the licensed spinners are currently being offered as a gift with purchase to all customers spending the equivalent of £10 on either brands’ toys.

Toys R Us will also be stocking the spinners after the promotion has ended so children will be able to return to store to buy more.

Catrina O’Brien, senior retail development manager at Mattel, commented: “Bladez has reacted amazingly quickly to the fidget spinner craze and we are delighted to be working with them on licensed spinners for both Hot Wheels and Barbie.

“The spinners are the ideal gift with purchase driver at retail and we look forward to seeing the response to the promotion we have secured with Toys R Us.”

Iain Morgan, ceo of Bladez Toyz, added: “We are proud to be the company offering children this choice of licensed spinner, both in the UK and around the world.”
