Biplano adds Danger Mouse to portfolio

FremantleMedia adds agent for France, Benelux, Iberia and Italy for brand.

FremantleMedia Kids & Family is continuing to grow the Danger Mouse brand on a global basis, signing up Biplano to handle both the new and classic brand in key European territories.

Biplano will be looking after France, Benelux, Iberia and Italy.

The company will work alongside master toy partner, Jazwares’ appointed toy distribution partners in each region.

In addition to signing standard licensing partners, Biplano will also be seeking commercial promotional partnerships for the new version of Danger Mouse.

Tracy Griffiths, FMK’s vp licensing and consumer products EMEA and Australia, said: “We are very pleased to announce that Biplano will be coming on board to represent both classic and new Danger Mouse in southern Europe.

“The new series has delivered fantastic ratings from day one and has now been sold to over 100 different territories so it’s great to see its reach start to extend beyond the screen and into markets around the world. Running in tandem with that campaign is classic Danger Mouse, which continues to appeal to a secondary audience of adults with its distinctive retro style.”

Guillem Rey, md of Biplano said: “Biplano is delighted to maintain our relationship with FremanteMedia Kids & Family, one of the most important licensors in the entertainment world, with both new and classic Danger Mouse.

“We are confident that the know-how of Biplano and the quality of the show will result in a successful licensing and promotional campaign.”
