Bioworld further strengthens its licensing team

Bioworld International has welcomed Bruce Wattie to its licensing team in the role of new licence acquisitions and development manager.

Bruce (pictured) brings with him over 25 years of experience in retail fashion and 20 years specifically in licensing, having begun his career as a graduate merchandiser on menswear for Next.

As md of White Wall Images, Bruce supplied licensed apparel and accessories to numerous UK and European retailers, building up connections with the likes of Primark, Next, Sainsbury’s, George at Asda, Tesco and ASOS among others. He most recently worked at Fashion UK as head of UK licensing.

At Bioworld, Bruce will be working with head of licensing, Richard Radford, and Sue Stanley, licensing new business development, to further grow the licensee’s stature within the industry.

“There’s so much opportunity to focus on new IP acquisitions and bring some newness to the market,” Bruce told LicensingSource.net. “Richard likes to call me a ‘truffle hunter’. I love what the business is doing, and I am very excited to join such an amazing team with a wealth of industry experience, in a business with such great product capability that has enormous growth potential ahead.”
