Beyoncé debuts Ivy Park and adidas collaboration

Launch of new collection follows Beyoncé buying out former business partner, Philip Green.

The first collection from the new partnership between Beyoncé’s Ivy Park athleisure brand and adidas is due to hit retail from January 18, 2020.

The collaboration is the first since the pop superstar took sole control of the label – buying out former business partner, Philip Green.

The range features the first ever release of Ivy Park footwear as well as an array of ‘stylish and functional’ performance gear including gender-neutral apparel and accessories.

Items include a utilitarian jumpsuit, cargo pants, hoodie and cycling shorts, while asymmetry is seen in a dress and a coat. Harness detailing appears throughout the collection, whether as straps on a sports bra, bag or backpack.

The apparel is complemented by four footwear styles, with adidas x Ivy Park reinterpreting iconic adidas classics with statement colours and a fresh design approach.

“It is a dream come true to re-launch Ivy Park as the sole owner,” said Beyoncé. “My team has worked hard with the adidas team in bringing my vision to life for this first collection and I am grateful and proud. From the accessories to the clothes and footwear, I wanted to design and re-imagine pieces that serve as favorite armor for anyone who acknowledges the strength in their individual style and lives freely and boldly.”

Torben Schumacher, general manager at adidas Originals and Style, added: “The first adidas x Ivy Park collection unites the vision of Beyoncé with adidas’ expertise and authenticity in sport and innovative design; the undeniable work ethic and steadfast point of view of Beyoncé shows through in every detail within the collection.”
