Beast Quest taking to the stage in first live tour

Coolabi teams with Birmingham Stage Company for theatre tour kicking off in February 2020.

Coolabi Group is teaming with theatre specialist Birmingham Stage Company for Beast Quest Live – the first ever live theatre production for the publishing brand.

Launching in February 2020 and running until November 2021, Beast Quest Live will embark on a nationwide tour of the UK, visiting cities including London, Manchester, Cardiff, Glasgow, Liverpool, York, Birmingham and Nottingham among others.

The live show – which will be based on the first six books of the bestselling fantasy series – follows central character, Tom, as he battles against magical dark forces and Beasts.

“We are thrilled that we are finally able to announce this wonderful partnership with the BSC, a theatre company with such high pedigree and experience,” said Michael Dee, director of content at Coolabi Group. “The Beast Quest books have sold in their millions already in the UK and bringing the stories for their avid readers for the first time to stage is really going to be something special. We can’t wait to see the magic unfold.”

Since launching in 2007, the Beast Quest book series has sold over 20 million copies globally, across 120 titles, and has been translated into over 30 languages. The book series is published in the UK by Orchard Books a Hachette imprint.

The new live stage production follows a successful run of the Beast Quest interactive experience at Hampton Court Palace, which took place in October 2018. A new mobile gaming app is also currently in development with Animoca Brands and is due for release in spring.
