Deal agreed with classical music agency Intermusica for concert presentation.
Bear Hunt Films has agreed a deal with international classical music agency Intermusica for a live orchestral concert presentation of We’re Going on a Bear Hunt.
Featuring the BAFTA nominated 30-minute animation of the popular children’s book with a live orchestra performing the soundtrack, the presentation also includes a lively introduction to the musical world of Bear Hunt, singalongs and the special closing credits song, Me & You, written by George Ezra.
The format for the concert was developed by the City of London Sinfonia who recorded the sound track for the film at Abbey Road Studios.
Merchandising including CDs, DVDs, toys and books completes the package for the tour, dates for which are due to be announced shortly.
Kate Caro, associate director of Intermusica, said: “We believe that the combination of this well-loved story in its charming animation, with Stuart Hancock’s score performed live, will prove popular with audiences internationally. This will be a great way for young audiences to hear a live orchestral performance.”
Julia Posen, evp and commercial director at Walker Books and executive producer on the film, added: “Michael Rosen’s charming story and Helen Oxenbury’s beautiful illustrations have captivated millions of families around the world on the page, and in this presentation Bear Hunt springs to life wonderfully to make for an enchanting event.”
