BBC teams with Trends UK to grow Mr Tumble brand

Children’s entertainer to appear on special Learning Pad following new deal.

The Mr Tumble brand continues to grow, with BBC Worldwide teaming with Trends UK for the launch of a new Learning Pad featuring the character.

The interactive toy will combine recognising colours, letters, numbers and musical instruments with Mr Tumble and his friends.

Lindsay Hardy, Trends UK marketing director, said: “We are really excited about working with BBC Worldwide on this well-loved property. The Mr Tumble Learning Pad is an ideal toy for any fan of the programme.”

Julie Kekwick, senior licensing manager at BBC Worldwide, added: “Trends UK are the perfect partner for Mr Tumble, as their wonderful products will perfectly complement the range from Golden Bear.”

Master toy partner Golden Bear recently refreshed and re-designed the Something Special offering under the new banner of Mr Tumble Something Special.

The brand continues to do well at retail and has increased product lines this year including a TV advertised vehicle and new feature plush. Latest additions to the toy collection feature many of the key learning elements brought to life from the CBeebies show. Sing Along with Mr Tumble and Large Talking Mr Tumble are set to join the Mr Tumble Fun Sounds Musical Car and Mr Tumble with Fun Tumble Tapp for autumn/winter.

Other product lines include new books from Egmont, lunch and dinnerware from Zak, Aykroyd and TDP for nightwear, underwear and swimwear, daywear with K3Y, Pasta Shapes from Princes Foods, and bedding and towels from Dreamtex.

Themed Something Special rooms will also be featured in the new CBeebies Land Hotel at Alton Towers, which is opening on July 8.
