BBC Studios teams with Forbidden Planet on Doctor Who tees

Retailer to release exclusive t-shirts during season 12 of hit show.

BBC Studios has joined forces with Forbidden Planet on exclusive new Doctor Who t-shirts for season 12 of the hit show.

A range of ten Doctor Who t-shirts will launch during the new series – which began on January 1 – themed around each week’s episode. The t-shirts will be available to pre-order at ForbiddenPlanet.com the morning after transmission and priced at £15.99.

Following on from the New Year’s Day special – entitled Spyfall – subsequent episodes will broadcast every Sunday on BBC One. Jodie Whittaker is back for her second series as The Doctor, joined by friends Ryan (Tosin Cole), Yaz (Mandip Gill), and Graham (Bradley Walsh).

“This is such an exciting line and we’re thrilled to be offering Doctor Who fans the opportunity to be a part of the new series in this way,” said Anita Majhu, senior licensing manager at BBC Studios.

Anthony Garnon, licensing and special projects manager at Forbidden Planet, added: “Months of behind the scenes planning and co-ordination, this is Doctor Who merchandising on a whole new level. Don’t just watch the episode, live it with Forbidden Planet.”
