Bandai celebrating Power Rangers toy success

NPD data to end April 2017 ranks Power Rangers as number one action figure brand.

Bandai is celebrating after seeing its Power Rangers action figures soar in terms of sales, according to new NPD data.

Data to the end of April 2017 ranks Power Rangers as the number one action figures brand, showing growth of 122.8% year to date.

Notably, April sales are tracking up a very healthy 185.9% versus 2016.

Tess Parsons-Broome, marketing manager at Bandai – which is the master toy partner for the brand – commented: “These are fantastic results testament to the strength of the Power Rangers brand, which at the end of April, ranks 11th across all toy properties.

“Power Rangers has proven its position not only as a classic brand, but as a must-have toy in such a competitive market place.”

Bandai will be continuing its support for the brand, planning marketing support and consumer activity around the launch of Power Rangers Ninja Steel in July.
