Former Cooneen and Christy’s by Design executive joins apparel licensee as sales account manager.
In a year which has seen it continue to grow market share despite the global pandemic, apparel licensee Aykroyd & Sons has further strengthened its sales team, welcoming Sarah Salmon to its ranks.
Sarah (pictured) joins in the role of sales account manager and brings a wealth of experience from previous roles at Cooneen and, most recently, Christy’s by Design.
“We are thrilled to welcome Sarah on board,” Sion Aykroyd, director at Aykroyd & Sons told Source. “Having someone with her knowledge and experience makes her a real asset and further strengthens our sales team. She’s been able to hit the ground running and is already making a real contribution.”
Sarah added: “I’m delighted to join the team at Aykroyds at such an exciting time for the business. The expanding product categories, fantastic license portfolio and whole host of new licenses mean there are huge opportunities for growth – and I can’t wait to be a part of that.”
The licensee is heading into 2021 in “a really positive position”, Sion continued.
“Despite the exceptional challenges that 2020 has thrown at us we have managed to continue growing market share,” he explained. “And the support of our key retail partners has given us the confidence to sign a number of huge licences – adding Peppa Pig and Hey Duggee to our daywear roster, while Animal Crossing, Bluey, Cocomelon and Blue’s Clues are just a few of the brands added to our nightwear portfolio.
“All in all, we head in to 2021 in a really positive position, and Sarah’s appointment just adds to that.”
