ASOS tops LinkedIn’s best UK firms to work for list

Online fashion retailer takes top spot, while BBC, Amazon, Apple, L’Oreal also included.

Online fashion retailer ASOS has been named the number one company to work for in the UK, according to the new LinkedIn 20 top companies 2018 listing.

ASOS – which has been involved with several high profile licensed collaborations recently – fought off competition from BBC, which came second in the list.

Holly Middlemiss, talent brand and engagement partner at ASOS, said: “At ASOS we do things not just to simply tick a box – rather, we genuinely care, we want to do the right thing and see the value in doing so. You spend a majority of your life at work, so why shouldn’t it be with a company you love, where you believe you’re making a positive difference and feel truly valued?”

Amazon (8), Selfridges (11), Apple (12), L’Oreal (14) and Facebook (17) also made the list.

The list is compiled through looking at the actions taken by LinkedIn’s 25 million UK members, considering data such as job seeker reach and interest, engagement and retention, to assess just where professionals want to work.
