Asian Licensing Award winners named

Shaun the Sheep and Candy Crush among winners at the Hong Kong Licensing Show.

The winners of the 2016 LIMA Asian Licensing Awards have been crowned at this year’s Hong Kong Licensing Show.

Nine winners were selected in seven categories – with all picking up their accolades at the LIMA Opening Night Awards Ceremony earlier this week.

Aardman’s Shaun the Sheep picked up Entertainment Property of the Year, while King Digital Entertainment’s Candy Crush won Corporate Brand and Lifestyle Programme of the Year.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Minions was the winner of Licensed Promotion of the Year for YATA. Meanwhile, Licensee of the Year went to NY LA Group for Paul Frank and Fei Fan Tan Suo Outdoor Products for Discovery Expedition.

Other winners included Click Licensing Asia and Shanghai Character License Administrative (Licensing Agency of the Year), Ali the Fox from Beijing Dream Castle Culture Holdings (Asian Property of the Year) and JT Network for DC Comics Super Heroes (Retailer of the Year).
