Asda’s Jonathan Tillery stars with Mary Portas

Senior buying director for George talked Mary through Christmas jumpers on What Britain Bought in 2015.

Those watching the latest show from Mary Portas over the Christmas period – What Britain Bought in 2015 – might have spied a familiar face in the licensing world.

Jonathan Tillery, senior buyer director for George at Asda – starred on the show, talking Mary through the delights of a Christmas jumper.

Jonathan told Mary that last Christmas alone (2014), Asda sold over one million Christmas jumpers and that one in five people would be wearing one when they sat down to Christmas lunch.

Asda stocks 85 different styles of Christmas jumper – with one of the popular new arrivals this year being Star Wars.

Other brands featured on the Channel 4 programme – which can still be viewed on 4OD by clicking here – included Frozen, Fifty Shades of Grey, Star Wars and the Disney Store.
