A new ARTiSTORY store has officially opened its doors at Niu Shou·Xijian Square, located at Niu Shou Mountain area of Nanjing, Jiangsu.
The new establishment aims to serve as a significant hub for international cultural exchange, combining art, stories and tourism in an innovative and immersive environment.
The company’s first ever physical store is the result of years of collaboration between prominent international cultural institutions including the British Library and the Centre Pompidou.
It seeks to create a dynamic space that not only showcases art, but also facilitates cultural interactions through various narratives and creative experiences. Inspired by the artifacts from the extensive collections of these renowned institutions, the ARTiSTORY store promises to provide visitors with enriching cultural experiences that resonate with all ages.
The design reflects the inspirations drawn from its international partners. In the British Library theme area, visitors can marvel at a towering seven-metre-high bookshelf, reminiscent of the King’s Library’s book tower in London, for example.
Similarly, the Centre Pompidou theme area draws from its iconic architectural style, employing pipe and truss structures to create a vibrant and contemporary atmosphere.
The retail area includes products ranging from children’s literature to art master series, while the store has also partnered with China’s original coffee brand, Newsroom, to launch the ARTiSTORY Café.
As the ARTiSTORY store continues to develop, it plans to host various activities, including art markets, cultural salons and lectures, fostering a sense of community among visitors.
