Company adds Australian designer Florence Broadhurst for licensing in UK and Europe.
Art + Science International has grown the ‘art’ side of its business, signing up to represent Australian designer Florence Broadhurst for licensing in the UK and Europe.
Known for her print designs, Florence’s design archive contains over 500 images ranging from tapestries to geometrics, florals, psychedelic and eccentric chinoiserie.
Art + Science will be focusing on the fashion, home and gifting categories for the brand, having been appointed by Signature Design Archive.
There are already a number of successful licensed product ranges in Australia and the US. These include collaborations with leading brands such as Kate Spade and Qantas.
“We were impressed with the insight and energy which Art + Science brought to our discussion around the opportunity of bringing Florence Broadhurst to fashion and home design markets in the UK and Europe,” said John Cookson, vp global partnerships at SDA.
Nicola Webster, licensing director at Art + Science, added: “We are delighted to be working with SDA on the Florence Broadhurst programme and are excited to introduce the designs to our partners.
“The artwork is inspirational and we believe there are numerous opportunities to create innovative product ranges.”
Art + Science International will be showcasing the brand on stand A85 at BLE this week.
