Are you joining industry colleagues at this week’s Southern Light Fund Quiz?

There’s still time to get your tickets for the Southern Quiz Night in aid of The Light Fund, but you need to be quick as only a small number of tickets remain.

The popular event – which is a must attend in the licensing calendar – will take place at Lords Cricket Ground, in the Thomas Lord Suite on Thursday 13 October.

It is a great networking event that brings the licensing community together, with every team trying to avoid the infamous prize for the team which comes last… ‘The Pants of Doom’.

Tickets (including food) are priced at £65 per person (teams are between four and eight people).

Tickets can be booked via The Light Fund’s events website by clicking here. On booking you will receive a receipt and booking reference via email.

The Light Fund has been continuing its work in recent weeks.

Recent fund raising activity has enabled it to make some important donations including an additional £3,000 to the UNICEF Ukraine Children’s Fund, £5,000 to support urgent relief efforts for those caught in the massive floods in Pakistan and £2,000 to the Amy Winehouse Foundation which will assist their work with children and young people.

“The UK licensing community has many international links, so as well as supporting the Amy Winehouse Foundation’s work in the UK, we are pleased that The Light Fund has also been able to make donations to UNICEF who are helping those in the Ukraine and to ShelterBox helping families effected by the terrible floods in Pakistan,” commented Trevor Jones, chairman of The Light Fund. “These timely donations are important, but we need to keep up our efforts raising funds and The Light Fund quiz at Lords on 13 October is another opportunity for licensing folks to get together helping others in desperate need.”
