Anniversary pop-up opens at St Pancras International

Retail outlet is part of station’s 150th anniversary celebrations.

St. Pancras International has kicked off its 150th anniversary celebrations.

The most recent development of its retail and licensing programme is the opening of a pop-up retail outlet to sell its new range of 150th anniversary products.

The programme kicked off this year with specialist online retailer Internova unveiling an online store featuring a range of prints, ceramics, and apparel to appeal to the 30 million unique users of the station’s website.

The new 15M2 pop-up store – run by Event Merchandising – will be in the middle of the station’s concourse throughout 2018, but is opening just in time for this Christmas providing the station’s 50 million annual visitors with apparel and commemorative St. Pancras-branded gifts.

Adam Bass, director of licensing agency Golden Goose, which is managing the licensing and retail programme, said: “The 150th anniversary celebration will generate an unprecedented amount of attention for this much-loved architectural landmark and we are thrilled to have played our part in managing the creation of the anniversary product ranges and launch of the station’s own retail outlets.”

Wendy Spinks, commercial director of HS1 Ltd, the company that operates, manages and maintains St Pancras International, added: “We are very excited about the launch of our pop-up retail outlet. Our plans for celebrating in 2018 are well underway and we’re looking forward to seeing our anniversary store flourish, because as the nation’s favourite railway station, we know there is demand from our visitors for St. Pancras International products.”
