Andersen Press recruits more illustrators to charity cause

More illustrators have joined Andersen Press’ charity auction celebrating the release of Nicholas Allan’s The King’s Pants.

Jane Hissey – creator of Old Bear – has donated an original illustration of Little Bear himself waving his Coronation pants, while Adam Stower, illustrator of David Walliams’ Robodog has donated a one-off sketch for the auction.

Both items can be viewed and bid on by clicking here.

The auction has already raised over £4,200 to be split between Trussell Trust and DEC Appeal, with Andersen Press matching funds up to £5,000.

The King’s Pants continues to climb up the book charts, and Andersen Press’ campaign is in full swing, with major teacher influencer content across TikTok and Instagram, the Coronation Activity Pack downloads topping 2,500, trade advertising and point of sale material in shops around the country, plus a bespoke window installation by Nicholas Allen himself at Waterstones’ flagship on London’s Piccadilly, just around the corner from Buckingham Palace.

The installation has been featured throughout the media, with pieces on ITV London News and Reuters Worldwide already.

“I am really pleased to have the chance to do a drawing for The King’s Pants Coronation Illustration Auction,” commented Jane Hissey. “I hope everyone will have lots of fun bidding on all the illustrations; we need to raise lots of money for both the Trussell Trust and the Disasters Emergency Committee Appeal for the Turkish and Syrian Earthquake appeal, such important charities that desperately need our support. Happy bidding.”
