Amanda Mountain spreads creative wings with Lola Art Licensing

Amanda Mountain is spreading her creative wings with the launch of the Lola Art Licensing venture.

With husband Frank, Amanda is celebrating the 10th anniversary of their greeting card and stationery company Lola Design and they are now branching out with the licensing division, initially with her own works and hopefully expanding to welcome other artists too.

“Over the years, I’ve been brimming with ideas that extend beyond the scope of our current offerings under the Lola Design brand,” Amanda said. “I feel it’s the right time to open up these concepts to the wider industry.

“My passion for creativity runs deep, and this new licensing platform allows me to explore and share my love for design on a much broader scale.”

With a long career in greetings under her belt, Amanda has worked as a freelance artist for companies such as Woodmansterne, Cardmix, The Art Group, Tracks Publishing, Whistlefish Galleries, Abacus, Cherry Orchard, Noel Tatt, Nigel Quiney, Hallmark UK & USA, UK Greetings, Second Nature, Simon Elvin, OPC, Johnny Javelin, The Great British Card Company, and Henderson’s Greetings, and before that spend nine years as an in-house artist at Simon Elvin.

She also worked as a fashion print illustrator, designing patterns and prints for children’s wear and ladies’ nightwear, a role that expanded her skills and allowed her to explore design in different mediums and styles.

“Our main focus right now is on me creating designs,” Amanda added, “however, I’m excited to share that in the not-too-distant future, we hope to expand the platform by welcoming other talented artists to join this journey.

“The new venture, Lola Art Licensing, will have no impact on our publishing company Lola Design, which will continue to trade alongside it. Both will operate independently, allowing me to bring creative visions to different audiences through two exciting channels.”

She said the goal is to create a true art licensing studio built by an artist, for artists, a space where creative minds can thrive and bring their work to new audiences through meaningful collaborations with brands and manufacturers, and the Lola Art Licensing website is now live.
