All3Media International reveals live expansions for Midsomer Murders and Race Across the World

All3Media International has confirmed live expansions for two of its key brands – detective drama Midsomer Murders and the hit adventure series, Race Across the World.

For the first time, Midsomer Murders is coming to the stage, through an adaptation from Guy Unsworth of Midsomer Murders: The Killings at Badger’s Drift, based on the book by Caroline Graham.

The stage adaptation will tour across the UK, opening at Richmond Theatre on 24 October and will tour through to April 2026.

Meanwhile, a live experience based on the BAFTA winning format Race Across the World is set to launch this spring in London.

The live high-stakes experience will offer players the chance to live out their Race Across the World dreams by navigating the streets of London, working as a team, outwitting their competitors and unlocking hidden secrets of the city in an unforgettable race to the finish line.

Players will be given a budget which can be spent on valuable clues to help navigate the next leg of the journey. Players will be scored based on their time and how much budget they have left, with their final score ranked on a live leaderboard throughout the day and week.

The race takes participants on a 4-5 km mission through the capital, typically spanning two to three hours and highlighting the treasures people miss when speeding beneath London on the tube. Pass through key partner venues including renowned pubs, cultural hotspots, or famous landmarks, each serving as a ‘checkpoint’ where teams must solve clever, escape room-style puzzles.

“It’s incredibly exciting to be expanding the stories and worlds of two of our fan-favourite brands across the UK,” commented Jason Easy, vp licensing sales at All3Media International. “These two new off-screen launches mark a fantastic opportunity to deepen engagement with our audiences, allowing fans to immerse themselves in their favourite shows, as well as marking fantastic new additions to our ever evolving and dynamic licensing programme.

“The iconic Midsomer Murders story The Killings at Badger’s Drift is a classic whodunit that translates perfectly to stage, allowing audiences to experience the beloved story, bizarre murders and beautiful setting in an entirely new medium. Studio Lambert’s smash hit adventure format Race Across the World, will have adventure lovers in London thrilled by the opportunity to put their skills and strategy to the test, offering them the chance to dive into the heart-pounding action and strategy that has made the show a hit.”
