All3Media International injects Operation Ouch into its licensing slate

All3Media International’s licensing department has revealed it will represent merchandising rights (excluding publishing) for Operation Ouch, the multi-award-winning children’s franchise that explores the weirdest and most wonderful bits of medicine and the human body.

Celebrating and informing children and adults around the world, Operation Ouch provides fascinating access into the world of medicine and biology, explaining the amazing things our bodies can do.

Having aired for 12 seasons on CBBC, the series has also successfully broadcast in Australia, North America, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia and Latin America.

Fan-favourite strands of the series include the Cupboard of Everything, where the doctors unearth medical inventions and cures from the past, present and future; Ouch & About which answer children’s medical questions about their own bodies; and Mindboosters which explores the importance of a much-needed moments of calm, as well as children’s hospital stories.

“This ever-popular brand, which puts all aspects of medicine under the microscope, presents so many off screen opportunities,” commented Jason Easy, vp licensing at All3Media International. “Celebrating and exploring the wonderful weirdness of the human body, it’s very funny, a little bit gross, always informative, and totally distinct. Loved by children and parents alike, we can’t wait to introduce Operation Ouch at BLE and beyond.”

The franchise already includes a sell out exhibition in partnership with the Science and Industry Museum Manchester. The exhibition welcomed more than 100,000 visitors during its run from July 2023 to June 2024, making it the institution’s most visited family-focused special exhibition to date.
