Aldi unveils Euro 2016 special buys

Official licensed products – including apparel – part of national media ad push.

Discount retailer Aldi has unveiled a raft of ‘special buys’ ahead of the kick off for Euro 2016 this week (June 10).

The chain was advertising in national newspapers at the weekend to promote the arrival of the officially licensed product.

Items include adults and children’s hoodies for England and Wales, as well as branded footballs and football boots, caps, t-shirts and football kits.

In-store only offers included England and Wales caps, polo shirts and football shirts, plus children’s England football kits.

Prices range from £2.99 up to £14.99.

The move further underlines Aldi’s sporting ambitions – last year it confirmed its support of Team GB ahead of the Rio 2016 Olympics, becoming the official supermarket.
