Aldi turns Kevin the Carrot into brand with largest ever range

‘Bigger and better’ merchandise collection featuring character and friends launches in-store today (November 28).

While Aldi has notably been upping the space dedicated to licensed brands over the past few years, the retailer is also turning its popular Kevin the Carrot character into a brand in its own right.

Today (November 28) sees the in-store launch of Aldi’s biggest ever range of merchandise featuring Kevin the Carrot – the star of the retailer’s Christmas adverts – along with his new friends.

It describes the range as ‘bigger and better’ than ever before including new Kevin-themed pyjamas, festive jumpers and stationery.

This year’s TV ad launched earlier this month and sees the root vegetable returning with a few tricks up his sleeve and new friends, Tiny Tom and Russell Sprout (with his gang of Leady Blinders).

There are 23 Kevin-related products but fans will need to be quick as last year over half the range sold out within 24 hours.

Products include a plush toy range featuring Ringmaster Kevin and Katie and the return of the whole family – Chantenay, Jasper and Baby. Shoppers can also get their hands on new fruit and veg on the block Tiny Tom and Russell Sprout. For an even bigger helping of Kevin, shoppers can also purchase the Giant 1m Tall Kevin, who for the first time will be joined by Giant Katie and an extra special Giant Unicorn.

Two exclusive plush bundles were also available to pre-order.

As well as the toys, this year Aldi has added family pyjamas, a children’s Christmas jumper, inflatable snowglobe, a Kevin-themed range of cards, Christmas wrapping paper, gift mug, Christmas activity book, Christmas tree decorations, story books, sound books, notebook and pencil case, wooden theatre and carrot puppets and crafting product.
