Camp Wilderness – a division of The Bushcraft Company – is bringing adventure to kids and families via new summer camp collaboration.
Adventurer and bushcraft expert, Ed Stafford, has partnered with The Bushcraft Company and its subsidiary, Camp Wilderness, to launch Ed Stafford-inspired kids and family summer camps.
Camp Wilderness will offer two Ed Stafford-inspired camps: a five-day Advanced camp for kids and a three-day camp for families – the Ed Stafford Advanced weekend.
The itinerary for the camps was carefully curated by Ed and includes natural shelter building, camping, cooking, fire lighting and a culminating exercise designed to test the campers’ ability to apply the skills they have mastered. All activities are supervised by qualified Camp Wilderness staff and in compliance with Covid safety protocols.
“The pandemic left so many kids and families stuck inside on their phones and computers,” Ed commented. “My hope is that these camps help give children and families a reset in nature before returning back to work and school.”
Ed’s wife, Laura is also an accomplished outdoorswoman and has contributed to the vision and itinerary for the camp. She believes that young girls can gain important skills and confidence through outdoor adventure and hopes to inspire their capacities and continue challenging gender norms.
Max Folkes, md at The Bushcraft Company, continued: “Getting to collaborate with Ed was fantastic and has really helped us develop an exciting itinerary for these camps.
“His experience and passion for outdoor knowledge was poured into the creation of this program, and his specific love of getting children out in nature – off their phones and computers – has created a lot of excitement for the camps. With the backing of Ed, we have experienced record sales and demand has been off the charts.”
Brandgenuity represents Ed Stafford for licensing and brokered the partnership with The Bushcraft Company.
