Conference and networking event will take place at the New York Marriott Downtown from March 1-2 2016.
A new conference and networking event will take place in New York next March, called the NYC Summit: The Business of Brand Licensing.
Running on March 1-2, the two-day event was developed by License Global, in partnership with UBM Advanstar, organisers of Licensing Expo and Brand Licensing Europe, and LIMA.
The NYC Summit will aim to offer in-depth analysis and insight into the driving factors and changing dynamics of global licensing in today’s highly competitive marketplace, while allowing time for one-to-one meetings and networking.
It will feature strategies from top brand and retail executives on leveraging and profiting from the popularity of licensed brands, developing partnerships and preparing for the future of the industry.
Tony Lisanti, global editorial director, License Global, and an Adjunct Professor of Licensing and Merchandising at New York University’s Tisch Institute for Sports Management, Media and Business, said: “This summit is something that we at License! Global have long wanted to do and have now been developing for several months, so I’m incredibly excited to finally share what we have planned.
“From category innovations to changing business models, we’ll be analyzing and sharing best practices for all aspects of the licensing sector. This is a must-attend event for any executive looking to shape the future of their business who wants to hear directly from and network with innovators and influencers in our industry.”
Charles Riotto, LIMA president, added: “LIMA is excited to be working with our colleagues at UBM Advanstar Licensing to bring a licensing event of high caliber back to New York City. This summit captures all that is important to our industry – a forum for education, and the opportunity to make vital business connections.”
The discussions featured at the inaugural NYC Summit have been developed for this event by License! Global magazine in conjunction with LIMA.
Topics that will be explored during the two-day NYC Summit include, among many others: How Brand Management Companies are Driving the New Licensing Models; Brand Value: The Wall Street Viewpoint; Entertainment Licensing: The Value of Franchise Development; The Licensing Agency Forum and Roundtable; The Influence of Sports Licensing; New Entertainment Stars and Brands; The Retail Roundtable; Fashion Licensing, plus a host of networking and meeting events.
