The first store to house Next’s fashion, beauty and home offerings all under one roof is due to open in Watford this April.
The retailer is relocating its Next clothing store in Atria Watford to the 94,000 sq ft Next Beauty & Home outlet, which was one of its first beauty formats in October 2020, reported Retail Gazette.
The three-floor store will also have a connecting Victoria’s Secret outlet – Next acquired a majority stake in the lingerie brand’s UK arm in 2020.
The move towards the department store model means that Next now has the potential to cross merchandise licensed brands in the apparel and homewares sectors in its store, creating new opportunities.
“We are very excited to announce plans for our new and improved store at Atria Watford – a location where Next has already thrived for many years,” commented a Next spokesperson. “The new unit will bring together the three elements of our offering in one place – fashion, home and beauty – for the first time, for our Watford shoppers to enjoy.”
