Reebok unveils second Ghostbusters collaboration

Reebok is once again collaborating with Sony Pictures Consumer Products, unveiling a footwear and apparel collection inspired by the Ghostbusters franchise.

Following the successful first line between the two brands – which launched in October 2020 – Reebok has come back with an even larger collection.

Various pieces of footwear in the second capsule draw inspiration from the original films, while other pieces are modelled off characters and themes from Ghostbusters: Afterlife which is due to hit cinemas in November.

The hotly tipped movie sees a single mother and her two children arrive in a small town, where they begin to discover their connection to the original Ghostbusters and the secret of the legacy their grandfather left behind.

Reebok has used the modern day story combined with the nostalgia of the franchise for numerous footwear designs.

These include the Ecto Boot, a modern take on Ghostbusters and Reebok’s OG Pump shoe from the 1980s; the Zig Kinetica, which includes details designed to emulate the new ghost, Muncher, from the upcoming film; the Instapump Fury, with a design based on the psycho-reactive slime which makes an appearance in Ghostbusters II; and the Answer IV, which marks the first time the Terror Dogs make their way onto footwear.

There is also a Zig Kinetica Kids range with sees the Mini-Pufts, a group of little terrors, make an appearance.

Select pieces of the footwear line come in special packaging paying homage to the characters and details from the films, new and old, as well as Reebok’s historic footwear models.

The collection is completed with two sweatshirts, the first of which is best paired with the Answer IV and the second with the Zig Kinetica.
