Spin Master is collaborating with GPS navigation app, WAZE to help mark the release of PAW Patrol: The Movie. Parents can turn each trip into a special mission, with Pups Marshall, Skye and Chase helping to navigate around obstacles, traffic and maybe even Mayor Humdinger and his ‘pesky’ kittens. In addition, change the WAZE Mood to Chase, Marshall or Skye and youngsters can ride into action with Chase’s Police Cruiser, Marshall’s Fire Truck or Skye’s Plane.
Friendly Unofficial Networking (F.U.N) launched its first standalone in-person networking event earlier this month. Over 80 licensing, marketing and branding executives gathered at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas on 8 August for two days of casual networking. There was an informal drop-in day hosted by Dimensional Worldwide and DCE Agency, followed by an Opening Night Party in The Foundation Room at the top of the hotel. The following day began with a sold out breakfast buffet at Border Grill hosted by Women in Toys, Entertainment and Licensing, followed by three hours of meetings and networking sessions at the Ri Ra Restaurant. The afternoon saw execs heading to Area15 to explore Omega Mart, an experiential installation from Meow Wolf, before Brainbase hosted dinner, drinks and roof top golf at Top Golf and the conclusion of the day at Eye Candy. Marc Mostman, president of Most Management, launched F.U.N six years ago as a way to provide unofficial networking events that coincide with other trade shows. The next event is scheduled to take place in Los Angeles in September.
Fred Rogers Productions and 9 Story Brands have named eight new licensing partners and brand extensions for Daniel Tiger’s Neighbourhood. The newest licensees include AutoBrush, Noshi and Storypod, with new offerings also on the way from current partners Jakks Pacific, Mighty Mojo, Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing and Cottage Door Press. In addition, PBS and General Mills are now serving up a Yoplait yogurt promotion featuring characters from the series.

Nelvana will be securing global distribution and licensing deals for bestselling cookbook author and vegan chef, Lauren Toyota, focusing on ‘indulgent and accessible’ vegan packaged foods, plus home décor expert Alexandra Gater, targeting décor and accessories for her Millennial followers.
Multichannel streaming platform, Loop Media has confirmed an expansion of its existing partnership with Roku to bring The Wiggles Channel to its customers.
