Collaboration between luxury fashion brand and King Features in Brazil includes a range of high-end apparel.
With winter just around the corner in Brazil, a new collaboration between luxury fashion house À La Garçonne and Popeye and his longtime love Olive Oyl is aiming to warm up the fashion scene.
Developed in partnership with King Features, the exclusive collection has been designed by famous Brazilian stylist, Alexandre Herchcovitch.
The deal was brokered by King Features’ local agent, Vertical Licensing.
Available now, the exclusive Popeye X À La Garçonne collection is comprised of t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, pants, shorts and raincoats for men and women in a variety of prints featuring Popeye and Olive Oyl.
“The Popeye x À La Garçonne collaboration offers fans truly one-of-a-kind pieces that merge expert tailoring with pop culture and sporty style,” said Carla Silva, vice president and general manager, global head of licensing, King Features. “We were all wowed by how the pieces turned out during the fashion show unveiling and look forward to the reaction from Popeye’s fans in Brazil.”
Focused on redesigning vintage pieces mined from thrift stores around the world and in researching fabrics and materials that are out of stock, À La Garçonne is a brand that values luxury based on the new languages of sustainability.
Alexandre commented: “Popeye is a character that lives in our imagination, very democratic and well known, crossing generations, cheering everyone with his stories and his personality.”
