Company – headed up by Darran Garnham – is named master toy partner for Netflix animated film.
Ambitious London-based entertainment company, TOIKIDO – which was formed by Darran Garnham last year – has been named as master toy partner on Netflix’s new animated film, Back to the Outback.
The film is due to make its global debut in autumn 2021.
TOIKIDO will have rights to manufacture toys including action figures and plush in worldwide markets.
Tired of being locked in a reptile house where humans gawk at them like they’re monsters, a ragtag group of Australia’s deadliest creatures plot a daring escape from their zoo to the Outback, a place where they’ll fit in without being judged for their scales and fangs.
The film stars a host of voice talent including Isla Fisher as group leader Maddie (a poisonous snake with a heart of gold); Miranda Tapsell as Thorny Devil lizard, Zoe; Guy Pearce as lovelorn hairy spider, Frank; and Angus Imrie as sensitive scorpion, Nigel.
Tim Minchin also lends his voice to the group’s nemesis, Pretty Boy, a cute but obnoxious koala, while Eric Bana is the zookeeper who gives chase across Australia with his adventure seeking mini-me, Diesel Cash La Torraca.
