Global Merchandising Services shows its metal with DC

Global’s clients Megadeth, Ghost and Ozzy Osbourne feature in new Dark Nights: Death Metal comic book series.

Global Merchandising Services has partnered with DC for the international launch of its hit limited series, Dark Nights: Death Metal.

The publisher has revealed its plans to collaborate with seven of the most renowned metal music bands for Dark Nights: Death Metal – Band Edition including Global clients Megadeth, Ghost and Ozzy Osbourne.

For these artists, exclusive merchandise featuring unique variant covers will be made available for fans from both universes. Further information will be announced in conjunction with each release.

Each special edition will feature a variant cover spotlighting a different metal band, an introduction from the band and an exclusive interview. The seven issue series event will launch in 13 countries in March and roll out throughout 2021.

As well as Megadeth, Ghost and Ozzy Osbourne, other featured artists include Lacuna Coil, Opeth, Sepultura and Dream Theater.

Dark Nights: Death Metal launched in the US in June 2020 and is the sequel to the hit Dark Nights: Metal series which brought widespread changes to the DC universe, introducing fans to the Dark Multiverse and villain, the Batman Who Laughs.

The seven single issues with the band edition variant covers will be published monthly in eight countries (France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina and Turkey). For the Collectors’ Omnibus Edition featuring additional bonus content, these eight countries will be joined by Russia, Poland, Czech Republic, Korea and Japan.
