F1 teams with Designer Parfums for luxury fragrance line

Collection is made up of five luxury scents designed to take fans on a sensory journey through a thrilling race.

Formula One has teamed up with Designer Parfums for the launch of the F1 Fragrances Engineered Collection.

The range is made up of five scents designed to take fans on a ‘sensory journey through a thrilling race’.

As a world first in the fragrance industry, the unisex F1 Fragrances Engineered Collection has been designed using the latest digital light synthesis 3D printing technology. Designer, Ross Lovegrove, has created an intricate technopolymeric resin-based exoskeleton to house the aerodynamic fragrance bottle inspired by the elegant lines of an Formula 1 car’s chassis.

The five Haute Parfumerie scents each depict the thrills and excitement of an F1 race. They are Precious Mettle (a fresh, intense woody fragrance), Turn 1 (described as an ‘avantgarde’ composition), Overtake 320 (warm and spicy), Neeeum White (a tribute to drivers as they reach the final straight) and Carbon Reign (vibrant and energetic built around a champagne accord, dry amber and woods).

The fragrances are priced at £195 and are each housed in a 75ml metallised flsk with the 3D Printed Exoskeleton.

“We are very excited to be unveiling the second instalment in our exclusive fragrance collection with Designer Parfums,” said Ellie Norman, director of marketing and communications at F1. “Following the successful launch in Abu Dhabi last year, we are thrilled to see the collection become available in Europe and engage with our fans through the important touch point of smell.

“The unique and daring fragrance collection embodies the sport and has been crafted to take fans on an F1 journey.”

Dilesh Mehta, chairman and ceo at Designer Parfums, added: Our expert team and partners have worked closely with Formula 1 to translate the passion and innovation of this global sport into a ground-breaking collection of fragrances with a unique and innovative 3D printed design.”
