Sea Life centres to host Mister Maker

Zodiak Kids inks deal with Merlin Entertainments for four-week event.

Zodiak Kids has secured a co-promotion deal with Merlin Entertainments Group’s network of Sea Life centres for Mister Maker.

The deal will see arts and crafts activities featured across all 12 centres in the UK and Ireland for a four-week period, focused on the May half term holiday.

The Cbeebies presenter has put together a series of six exclusive instruction videos to help children make marine animals, ranging from a paper-plate stingray to a foil and tissue paper shark.

Jamie Turner, head of UK marketing at Merlin Entertainments, commented: “Mister Maker is a naturally engaging character who just makes arts and crafts easy and fun for every child, whether they have a flair for art or not.

“The way he introduces each project will also help our younger visitors learn more about the particular sea creatures they will be making, which we hope will encourage many to go on and learn more.”

Now in its seventh season, Mister Maker’s Arty Party continues to attract new licensees. Zodiak Kids recently signed toucanBox and Add Trading for 2016, while also securing a three-year renewal with Creativity International.
